Goce Delchev 162, 1240 Ohrid, North Macedonia, Demir Kapija, Macedonia
Umami Street Eats is a bold, energetic restaurant inspired by the vibrant street food scenes of Tokyo, Bangkok, and Seoul. With a focus on shareable plates, bold sauces, and inventive twists, the restaurant brings pan-Asian street food into an urban, industrial-chic setting. The menu features crowd favorites like Korean fried chicken with gochujang glaze, Thai basil beef skewers, and Japanese okonomiyaki fries. Each dish is crafted with attention to texture, heat, and balance, celebrating the complexity of umami flavor. The open kitchen buzzes with activity, and the scent of sesame oil, chili paste, and caramelized garlic fills the air. The décor combines neon accents, hand-painted murals, and communal seating to mimic the feel of a bustling night market. Popular among young professionals and foodies, Umami hosts monthly pop-up collaborations with local chefs and food trucks. They also offer a rotating “late night bites” menu that runs until 1 AM on weekends, complete with Asian-inspired cocktails and house sake. Vegan and gluten-free options are abundant, reflecting the inclusive, street-savvy ethos of the restaurant. More than just a place to eat, Umami is an experience—loud, fun, and full of flavor.
