Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Barista to join our bustling café and help elevate our beverage program. As a Barista, you’ll be the face of our coffee bar, creating beautifully crafted drinks while delivering warm, personalized service to every customer. You’ll be responsible for preparing espresso-based beverages, teas, cold brews, and seasonal specialty drinks to exacting standards. Each drink must be made with precision, consistency, and care—every time. You will also be expected to maintain cleanliness and organization at the barista station and contribute to the upkeep of the front-of-house area. Responsibilities include calibrating espresso machines, managing bean rotation, monitoring grinder settings, and preparing syrups and ingredients in advance. A strong understanding of coffee origins, roast levels, and extraction methods is preferred. You’ll also manage cash and credit transactions accurately using our POS system. You’ll help create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and informed about the products you’re serving. In addition, you may assist in light food preparation, including breakfast items, pastries, and grab-and-go selections. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as you’ll often coordinate with kitchen and counter staff. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, particularly during morning rush hours and weekend brunches. The ideal candidate is passionate about craft coffee, has a strong eye for detail, and enjoys educating customers about different brewing styles. Prior barista experience is preferred, but training will be provided for candidates with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Punctuality, cleanliness, and customer-focused behavior are non-negotiable. Opportunities exist to contribute to seasonal menu development and participate in coffee tastings or barista competitions.
